Just got a 2012 orange alpine frame which came with a maxle,(something ive not come across before)
After a bit of fiddling with my crossmax rear wheel i removed the mavic extreme axle that i had fitted last year and found the remaining hole to be the correct size to take the maxle.
Although it seems to fit as it should I am unsure if this wheel was designed to be used like this?
Anyone here know?

Yip thats fine - you'll prob need to remove the sIlver/blue end caps to as there 142m converters.
