[#2657185]

right i got some Sid teams 100mm in the sale late last year, and for one reason or another were not used until recently.

Having done one short ride of about 12 miles, i realised that i had set them up too soft, so i upped the air pressure to 130psi (i weigh about 160lbs) in both cambers.

However on the second ride out i noticed that even unwieghted they had about 25% sag, which seems odd.

I remember reading about these forks sometimes not having enough oil in them to start with, could this be the issue, and if so how do i change it and fill to the right level? Also what oil would i need?

Or could it be another issue?

thanks in advance

Hi

Do they feel ok when you bounce them up an down? Have you put the correct amount of air in for your weight according to the chart stuck on the fork leg? If you have put more in the - than the + chamber the fork will also self-compress, if you see what I mean.

I would eliminate the obvious before going for the oil option.

In general they feel fine, and are set up approximately for my weight, according to the legs.... just sit at a shorter travel level...

I will try emptying the air and pumping them up again, and see if that helps?

I thought i read somewhere that rockshox used to skimp on the oil in these and they generally need topping up when new, hence my questions about oil levels. Is this true?
