Hi, im having problems setting up my front mech. I set the height to approx 2mm and i think the angle is right. I also get approx 1mm gap on the low and high cog ring but i cant get chain to stop rubbing when im in the middle ring on front and low and heighest on back. Its annoying. Is sram easier to set up? Any help would be great thanks.
I thought everyone knew that these are the work of the devil and so impossible to set up. 😉
always get the bike shop to do mine as confusion sets in when i try.
the front middle ring is setup by the barrel adjust on your left hand side....sounds like it needs tweaking..turn the barrel adjuster when in the middle chainring and watch the cage move!
if you have the H & L screws correct, then the middle should be a doddle!
assuming you havent done that of course, reading above i cant see that you mentioned that.
