I've got a mate's bike in for a service and the forks are in bits. They are Reba SLs, with 100mm travel, but have a 20mm spacer inside so will go out to 120mm.
Anybody used 120mm on a Rockhopper?
Good?
Bad?
Indifferent?

Cheers! ๐Ÿ˜€

I've put 120mm Rebas on my 2006 Rockhopper which I think is the same geometry. Took about 10 minutes to get used to the slight change in handling, and I think the extra travel is an improvement (although it could well be the bike equivalent of the placebo effect).

Good timing with the question PP. I've just bought a RH frame to build up and was wondering the same thing..

Forgot to add that the extra travel will definitely wrench the head tube from your frame, killing you instantly.

I used to have a 2004 Stumpy FSR and they were renown for liking a bit more travel up front. I went from 100mm to 115mm Rebas and it was perfect.
