Anyone know what the chainline is for a 2000 Marin B17 - Got an octalink 68mm 121mm axle internal BB to go in with an XT octalink crankset? I presume it would be a std 50mm chainline? Thanks 🙂

As far as I remember, the 121mm Octalink was only for one model of LX chainset. XTs worked with 113 or 118, for either 47.5 or 50mm chainline.

I had a 98 Mount Vision and that had a 50mm chainline if that helps at all.

Cheers Reluctant - Yeh I think you right about that - it was an LX HTI mod by spesh 🙁 But I think the Marin had a 50mm chainline 🙂

The single pivot FS bike? I ran 68/113 with XT Octalink on mine. (1997 frame)

yup MLC - Yup that sounds right - cheers for that - would have to go for a 113 or a 118 I guess not a 121mm 🙁
