[#1981614]

Firstly should I threadlock my crank bolts on my square taper crank. White industries if that makes a difference. Doesn't mention it in the instructions but I've heard it before.

Secondly I've always had a larger rotor on the front but do to an mix up I now have the option of 160-180 or both 180 any pros or cons and why do manufacturers always have larger up front is it as more braking is done on the front

Ta

What is your frame warranted for? Never considered it until I saw a Kona with a 203 rotor that has failed at the weld due to (I think) fatigue. Otherwise it'll probably be ok...

Don't threadlock your crankbolts in case you need to tighten them a bit later e.g. if the cranks move a bit down the taper as you ride them in. They won't loosen on their own.

Yes, the front wheel does most of the braking (assuming you know how to ride) so that gets the bigger rotor. If you can't get the 160 on the back, go for 180/180. Actually just do that anyway.

Someone will be along in a minute to say the opposite...

+1 for not threadlocking squartaper cranks bolts. If anything put copperslip on them IMO.
