[#10095123]

So hit a flint today and ripped a nice hole in the sidewall of my tyre and tube.

It was a Bontrager Team Issue XR4. Had no issues with the tyres what so ever. Been great in all conditions so thinking of just buying another (as rear will stay same).

just seeing what the alternative options are? I guess it’s no issue running 2 different brands of tyre.

The bonty is only £35 so quite cheap!

I'm running Chunky Monkeys front and rear with the TE on the front, works great tubeless, grips very well in everything but heavy slop and cheap.

I was running a Chunky Monkey for quite a while and rated it. The knobbles started to split after a couple of years, replaced with a Maxxis DHR 2.4, no complaints.

Chunky monkey looks good! Might get the duel compound for the front and single for the back and just keep my current rear as a spare!

Thanks for the link!

You're very welcome 🙂 I was running the same combo on my 26er for about 5 years. I don't think you'll go far wrong for the money.
