Previously had xt 1x10 11/36 with 32 superstars narrow wide chainring and 10 speed kmc chain(noise free)
Now got xt 1x11 11/42 with same 32 chainring and a 11 speed kmc chain and it is constantly grating and noisy in all the gears.
HELP!!

KMC 11 spd chains are noisy, but could well be a worn chainring/new chain causing the noise.
Thanks sillyoldman, i hadn't thought of that i will order a new chainring asap.It shifts/works perfectly which was making it even more confusing.
Definitely start at chainring pretty sure that will be your problem.
Took the KMC chain off the OH's 1x11 as it was noisy as hell on the stand whilst indexing - put the ultegra one on there and its silent.
I have always used KMC chains MTB,road and cross never had a problem uptil now.Its quiet until its under load.
New chainring sorted it perfectly thanks.
