I have "upgraded" from XTR 3x10 to XT 1x11 on my Cube Stereo 120. However I cannot get the derailleur to shift across to the 40 cog unless I push it with my hand. I cannot tighten the cable anymore or the shifter will not release.
What am I doing wrong?
You've adjusted the limit screws?
Chain long enough?
Limit screws and the b screw moves the mech away or towards the cassette, if its too close wont shift into largest ring so easily.
Yep limits, b tension or just a balls up with the cable. Pick one, test all 3 and come back...
B tension screw needs winding in more by the sounds of it.
Play with the screws, all of 'em. 🙂
Worked for me.
Easiest with the chain off too.
Needed to take off dog leg from the mech for my bike.
