I fancied putting all the bits together to spec my own bike. I had been using a Specialized Stumpjumper hardtail which was fine but a bit long in the tooth and I wanted something new.
You cant fail to ignore the hype with these so I thought Id give it a go. I was havering between the black or orange but Im glad I went orange. It looks great in the flesh.
Steep learning curve with the advances in technology, tapered headtubes and disc brake bleeding are new to me :oops:. Im a road cyclist tbh. I've enjoyed putting the pieces together though, and would definitely do it again.
I've got an 80mm stem on the way as I feel its a bit long with a layback post and I reckon Im going to de sticker the rims, bit too much going on there. Other than that Im fairly happy please feel free to pick the bones out of it!
One thing I would like to ask is, what is the channel in the middle of the underside of the top tube for? (hope I've not made a schoolboy error)

Looks good but it would appear that you've made a bit of a cock up with the sticker on the down tube. Otherwise tip top.
dropper post cable/hose guides?
Ha! right, more things to find out about. What's the deal with dropper posts?
