[Closed] 185mm centre lock rotor help

Hi,

My mate needs new discs for his bike. He currently has 185mm centre lock but can't find replacements anywhere - everyone is OOS.

He's wondering what to do.should he buy adapters and change rotor size or does anyone know where he could get some?

Gut feeling says 185 is Avid but centre lock is Shimano.... So you might struggle. I'd get a Mavic centre lock adaptor (they're very neat) and an Avid 6 bolt rotor if I were you.

Before splashing the cash, he should try running a 180 rotor (borrow someones wheel) with his Avids without the tri-align washers. Never tried it myself, but it always had me thinking this was the reason they ended up on 185.
