I have a quick question about the 142 x 12mm bolt through system.
I recently discovered slight play in the rear wheel and a clicking noise when I moved the wheel side to side when it was mounted in the bikes frame. At first I thought this was hub play but have now discovered that the Maxle / Through bolt skewer thingy, doesn't fit snug through the wheel and allows very slight movement by a few mm.
As it's my first time using this system, is this normal?

I've had the maxle light before and had the same problem. I have been using the DT Swiss one for the last year with no probs

Cool, thanks discapade. Looks like I shall have to invest in a decent maxle to replace this Mavic one then.
