Whats the deal then, is 150mm at the rear better than 135? Will my shifting go to pot, will the back end be massively stiffer (missus)?

Any real world experiences out there?

shifting will be the same (assuming 83mm BB shell to match the 150mm rear end)
back end no stiffer than a good 135 bolt thru.
rear wheel should be stronger/stiffer but stupid flange spacing means it often isn't.

What GW said, though I would add that my old 224 had a 73mm bottom bracket and chainline/shifting was still fine.

Currently using a 135*12 bolt through. It's a 73mm BB on an intense ss1 where you can swap the rear drop-outs. Sounds like there is not a lot of point. Cheers folks!
