My first mountain bike,a 1998 Klein Mantra always seemed to attract attention wherever I went with it.Looked good but rode like I'd upset it and it wanted to kill me.

Klein looks like it has that rearward axle path that all these new high pivots are trying to emulate

Variable suspension characteristics that can be changed by simply standing up or sitting down too.

Ugh, URT.

What a 'thing'.

Suspension that works when you're stood up? Why would you want that?!?

And the shock extended on descents, raising the seat and steepening the (already steep) HA, just what you want when going downhill...

I do remember lusting after a Klein Attitude Comp in my LBS back in the late 90's though.

That Patient Zero is the same colour as a Raleigh Strika.

Gaddamit - tried to put a pic of my 2016 Kona Process 111 DL on. Fail. Well, I think it looks nice.

Took the mudguards off my Sherpa this afternoon - improves it visually by about 150%!

Doing a lot of time on this one currently. I prefer my MTB, but this one is better looking.

WTB had a very similar design around the same time but with much better lines - can't find a picture of it though. Nice enough that (given the strange behaviours of URT) if I'd found a frame I would have just removed the shock and ridden it locked it out as a hardtail.

My own biased view:

Finished building my Solaris today (temporary grips and ran out of outer cable to fit my dropper - but rideable at least).

Here’s the one I always post in these threads.

Worthy. Ancillotti are one of those rare things, a FS bike that looks good.

Swarf and Cotic are doing a good job of making sussers that aren't ugly imho. Not really a steel thing, just a tubular chassis look vs CF / HF shapes.

I might be biased but.......

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. They are big bikes (and small bikes always look prettier). They are metal (and carbon always looks more moderner). But to me they are perfect.

While I like the shape of the Sonder, the colour palette is making my eyes itch.
