Hi guys ,
I have a cannondale prophet with a standard qr rear end , my wheel can take a 10mm axle conversion but will it work with the prophets dropouts ?

Cheers
Ian

A normal qr axle is 10mm diameter anyway
Changing from a qr set up to 10mm through axle should work fine

But seems a lot of hassle , what's wrong with your current qr

My normal qr is only about 5mm so i want to stiffen the rear end up a bit,
I've never seen a regular qr with 10mm diameter ?

Works just fine... I have 3 bikes that I now run 10 qrs on...

You get a touch more rear end stiffness but it is small... it seats much better and has solved the problem of ghost shifting on one of the bikes... a worth while and cheap mod IMHO

On a regular QR hub the hub itself rests in the dropouts, not the QR skewer. The dropouts are 10mm. It will work fine.

The supersatr ones are good and only £7.99.... no black or red at the moment though..

It's the hub axle itself that's 10mm and its this that should be touching the inside of the drop out and not the qr itself

If its a pro 2 hub save yourself £10 and just drill it out. I guess its obvious but I didn't realise that the only difference was the axle id!
