Probably a stupid question - but I have a Pro 2 Evo with a 10mm bolt in rear axle. I quite frequently need to remove the rear wheel when loading it in the car, so am thinking of switching it to a 10mm bolt through, with one of the Superstar 10mm bolt through axle.
So, will this fit into my BFe dropouts?
10mm is 10mm so why wouldn't it.....
Yes.
They are good, had one on my old Dune.
Yes. Misunderstood is that standard dropouts are actually 9mm front & 10mm rear. I have 9mm RWS and 10mm RWS on a BFe. I bought 10mm B/T axle but I am told (from here) that you can drill out a standard pro2 rear QR axle to 10mm without too much trouble if you have one. Fronts I just drilled out the std QR adapters from the inside.
Thanks - stupid question, but just wanted to check. Would there be much difference in stiffness between the 10mm QR and the bolt-in?
should be no difference in theory. I have noticed my rear RWS being loose a couple of times - not sure if its because of poor tightening or coming loose, but its a screw up not a clam QR type which personally I think helps take the stupidity factor (me) out of the equation. Susperstar is clam type....
