Doing a bike build and need a groupset. Just found this on merlin cycles
is that cheap or am i better to try and pick up odd bits and pieces on the classifieds?

Looks pretty good to me. Get a good build for a grand with that as a starting point.

Even if you can find 2nd hand parts, you'll not find much better prices than that. If you don't believe me, check what folk try to sell STI's for

Good if you want 39/52 with 172.5 cranks and a 12-25 cassette.
If you want compact and a bigger bail out cog, then not so good.
