I've got a Vitus Dee 290 singlespeed with a crappy 38t crankset currently on it that is going to fail imminently.
I've got a spare set of SLX 104bcd cranks I'd like to stick on, but need to get a chainring to match the chain (1/2" x 1/8"). Haven't managed to find anything <£20, does anyone know of any out there? Will any 10 or 9 speed chainring not do?
Thanks

Any single speed ring will do.
I like on one stainless (32T only though)
Velo solo are supposed to be good too..

Yes, a 9/10 speed chain-ring will be fine.
Assuming your rear cog is also 1/8 otherwise just put a 3/32 chain on as well when it needs replacing.
