Hi,
Looking for a new rear mech for the road bike, I'm currently using a Tiagra 9 speed. They all appear to be 10 speed now.
Can I use a 10 speed mech, with a 9 speed chain, the jockey wheels will be a bit thinner, but is there enough space between the cage for the chain?
Does this space vary between the models ( Tiagra, 105, etc)

Will work perfectly fine with any Shimano 10spd rear mech.

All road mechs will work, 10 speed mtb mechs wont.
