This may be a stupid question but can I take out my 1 1/8" headset and put in a 1.5" one?
Is it just the "inner" diameter that changes or are the 1.5"'s for bigger head tubes?

They are indeed for bigger head tubes, presuming your headset is a 1 1/8?

Kind of what I thought. Just found a real bargain on a set of forks that
have a 1.5" steerer tube. My current forks/headset are indeed 1 1/8".
There is no way I can make them fit is there?
