I just bought this 2009 rp23 shock this week and after closer inspection the lower eyelet where you add nitrogen is a lot more machined than I'd like. This doesn't seem right but correct me if I'm wrong and all the 2009 shocks are like this?

You can see above the plastic plug where the shaft has been shaved/cut by the machine that cuts the hole.

i wouldn't worry about it, but if you're not happy send it back and ask for an exchange.

I picked my 09 rp23 today and it is exactly the same,my 06 dhx air looks
like it has been anodized after machining, wouldn't worry about it.
