2007 Rockshox Revelations (130mm dual air)
About a year ago they started to bottom out harshly at half travel, sat in the shed till now and they have no movement at all now. I believe this was a problem with oil getting past an o-seal so is it possible to change the seal and replace the oil to get them back like new?
Don’t fancy spending £100+ on a proper service and as I have the oil needed I just want to change the one non-working seal.
Is this possible? Where can I get one from? Will it happen again?
yes.. happened on my '09 pikes
travel gradually reduced untill it got to about 20mm
its the o-ring between damper shaft and white nylon plug in the bottom of the stanchion.. took the old one out, measured it up and got a pack of two from here...

mine was a BS206 3.53mm Section 12.29mm Bore, but recomend you check yours with some calipers..
jono
Yep, easy to do just make sure you clean inside really well before rebuilding or it will happen again, i fixed maine for less than a tenner.
Brilliant, thanks for those replies.
Agreed with all the above. I got this full set of seals from ebay for my 09 revs that had the same problem. You just need oil and damper fluid.
+1 Jono, and you cant get about 5 forks worth of seals from them for about £18 delivered.
Just done my Rebas because of the same thing
