Does anyone know if the an '04 MX Comp ETA would be easilly reduced in travel from 120mm to ~100mm?
When I had some Z1 FR's it was just a case of stripping down and moving a spacer from beneath the spring to beneath the top cap.
Reading around about this fork though it sounds a little unknown, almost like the 105mm ones have a spacer, the 120mm ones don't. So I'd have to make one, or, some have mentioned moving a spacer from one leg to the other.
I'll happily take them apart to take a look, but don't have any fork oil at the mo, so don't want to strip them if I'll be wasting my time.
Anyone know?
I bought them for my gf's Marin Palisades Trail as that is supposed to run a 100mm fork giving 71' head angle, I bought these thinking they were 100mm, but they weren't!!
I'm tempted to try them anyway, and see how it feels, but guessing it may end up being a little slack.
