One for the tinkerers!
An otherwise-excellent-condition, freshly serviced fork that has sadly become unusable owing to the damper shaft being made of brittle silver cheese and my inability to find a torque wrench at the key moment.
I snapped off the threaded part that attaches the shaft to the outside-bottom of the fork legs.
So gutted because this is a brilliant performing fork, about 12 years old but since it was new-old-stock about 4 years ago is still in excellent condition with really clean stanchions (one tiny scratch).
If you have an HLR damper hanging around or you fancy machining yourself a new shaft (don’t we all), these are for you.
170mm travel, internally adjustable to 160mm. X-firm spring I think. It’s so plush and progressive, just eats up heavy hits.
