Transition Klunker – Emerald Green Colour 2014

I bought this when they came out in 2014 (the green Klunker was part of the second batch Transition made).

Ridden offroad a few times, cruised around a few beach fronts in the SW, but mostly it was used as a trailer towing bike when out with the kids.

It’s had a pretty easy life, but has picked up a few scratches and marks mostly on the bars, and one mark on the top tube – see the photos.

It’s mostly original, but a couple of parts have been changed – Orange grips, 90s bear trap pedals, and a new front wheel as the original had unsealed bearings and the hub destroyed itself after 2 rides.

It’s a great bike to cruise around on. Quite hard work off road with the original gearing, but again really fun to ride :-)

When towing the trailer I built up a second back wheel with a Sturmey Archer drum brake hub (to be used with a V-brake brake lever), as I wasn’t convinced the coaster brake would stop the combined weight on a hill.

The drum brake wheel isn’t included in the sale, but if you are interested in it then make me an offer (the hub was £80 new). It’s not as ‘cool’ as the coaster brake, but it does stop you better!

I’m open to offers :-)

Collection only from East Devon (near Honiton), or I could meet in the Exeter or Cullompton area
