I bought the bike from Alpine Bikes Glentress just over two years ago. It recently had a new motor under warranty and this has only done 256 miles. The battery has had 75 charge cycles, and still has 100% capacity. I’ve not had any problems with the bike or any of its electrics. The motor was only changed when the bike was in the shop for a brake bleed, as the manager thought it was slightly noisier than normal (the new motor is a bit quieter than the previous one).
Soon after getting the bike I upgraded the fork to a Performance Elite 36 with Grip 2 damper, fitted a One Up dropper and lever, and Code RSC levers.Â
The guys at Alpine Bikes fitted an Invisiframe kit for me before I rode the bike, so the paintwork is stil in really good condition – just a few minor marks (mainly just in the Invisiframe layer).
Mechanically the bike is in fantastic condition, with no noticeable play or binding in the bearings/pivot points. Braking and shifting are both spot on and there are no annoying rattles from the frame or motor.Â
I have the charger, all the manuals, spare headset parts, fork tokens for the bike. I also have a range extender for the bike which is available subject to negotiation.
I really like this bike and the only reason I’m selling is because my worsening arthirits means that I can no longer get into a comfortable position on it. I’m a creaky pensioner, so the bike has been ridden pretty sedately – and not wrapped around a tree or anything daft!
For those interested in the weight of the bike, according to my bathroom scales, its around 18.5 Kg without pedals. (I ran it with carbon 29er wheels for a while and it was around 18 Kg, and I think there’s potential to get it down to 17.5 ish Kg – even at 18.5 it feels far more like a non-eeb than a 22+ Kg eeb).
Any questions, drop me a line.
