Very sadly listing this very capable beast that has served me well.

2016 275 frame, Large. In good condition considering age and usage. Some paint chips and scuffs, most notably on the chainstay. Has some frame tape. No structural damage, dents or cracks. Hope headset, BB and seat clamp. Bearings are fine but it will come with a full replacement set, SKF.

Cane Creek DB IL, coil-converted and serviced by TF Tuned. VALT 2.25×600 spring. Super adjustable, plush high-performing shock.

2016 (I think) X-Fusion Metric Air HLR. These were new-old-stock bought just before Ard Rock 2023, given a full service then ridden for about 5 hours. Basically new. Amazing fork. Comes with screw-in bleed valves that I never got round to fitting.

Handbuilt wheels, tubeless. Front: Superstar V6 hub, Stans Flow mk3 rim, double butted Sapim spokes, built with SILS locking nipples and washers. WTB Verdict Wet 2.5. Rear: Hope Pro 2 EVO, DT Swiss EX 471, double butted spokes, SILS and washers. WTB Judge 2.4. Tyres as new.

Hope M4 mono brakes (2010??). Recent new seals, still sound, no reason to upgrade because their power, modulation and serviceability are class. Rear could probably do with a new hose. Tech 2 levers. Hope floating rotors, 203/180.

Burgtec 35x35mm stem

Renthal Fatbar Lite bars, uncut

Ergon GE1 slim grips

X-Fusion Manic dropper, 170mm

Ergon or Spoon saddle (you choose, not photographed Brooks)

XTR shifter

XT 10sp Shadow rear mech, new MT Zoom jockey wheels

Burgtec 30t chainring

OneUp chain guide

Sunrace cassette 11-42 10sp, almost new

Raceface Chester cranks

Burgtec composite pedals

Frame was bought several years ago with offset rear suspension bushing already fitted. My belief, a great tweak. Slackens the geo while keeping the travel. Fork enhances that effect but doesn’t feel over-forked (and travel can be adjusted internally). I’ve had it from Cy himself (he may not want to say this officially, but we’d both had a couple of sherbets) that even though 180mm is more than the frame was designed for, once you factor in sag etc, 10mm is nothing to worry about and I felt assured that it wouldn’t explode and kill the rider. Just look at it, proper rocket sledge, really fast and flatters the rider. Also climbs surprisingly well!

So: well specced, well used but no reason it can’t go on for another 8 years and actually quite up-to-date geometry given the tweaks made.

£1500, offers considered.

If you don’t want the whole bike, I’ll sell the frame, forks, headset BB seatclamp for £800.

Posted at your cost, delivered by me within about an hour of Stoke-on-Trent for fuel money, or collected.

Questions welcome, more photos available.

Can’t believe I’m doing this.

Out of interest when you say your metrics came with as screw in bleed valves. Did yours come with the buttons to screw in ?

As I purchased the other set of NOS metrics from upgrade and that no bleed valve buttons came in box nor manual.
I do need the bleed valve screw in buttons mind.

If so, can you take a pic, thanks.
