We are recent users of TikTok here at Singletrack. We’ve cut down on our social media posting of late, mostly due to the people who run them. We are still to be found out there though in the social world and we’ve been quite taken with Bluesky of late due to it’s relative lack of knobbers – let’s hope that continues.
So, we fired up our sleepy TikTok account a couple of weeks ago, mostly to put up some of the short clips from our podcasts and subs manager Heather has said she’s going to start doing behind the scenes stuff at the office so you can see what we do, which is a frightening thought.
Anyway, we published our latest Podcast just over a week ago and two clips from it have lit up on TikTok.
The clips in question are here. Have a watch and let us know in the comments your thoughts on what makes the perfect jacket. Is Benji right? Are all modern waterproof jackets far from perfect?

If you are eager to check out the jacket Benji is talking about you can take a look at it here

Ha, nice clickbait thread title!
Tik what?
Shouldn’t it be a ‘challenge’ for Tik Tok? You know, the ‘Ultimate Riding Jacket Challenge’, probably something life threatening, so tying the jacket over your head then jumping into a swimming pool holding an e-mtb then holding your breath inside the air bubble created by the jacket for five minutes?
When Tik Tokkers start expiring as a result, you’ll get a bunch of added ‘viral’ exposure from the storm of media outrage
I’m old. Someone just want to name the jacket?

It’s changed colour from when Benji reviewed it. I bought one at the time and it’s still waterproof. It’s fairly warm and not very breathable so only gets worn when I’m going out into rain. Otherwise I prefer a softshell.
Not entirely sure what about the headline is claickbait
Really? The thread title *Something* goes ‘viral’ on Tok Tik, and you wonder why it’s click-baity? It’s a perfect example of clickbait I would have thought.
I don’t think click bait means what you think it means.
I don’t know, maybe it’s covered under the sensationalist heading, maybe not
Good jacket though, I’ve got one.
Has anyone tried Paramo jackets? Im interested in them and would like to ditch the membrane jackets ideally.
