Megasack Giveaway Day 14: SQlab Saddle, Pedals & Grips

by 12

Say it ain’t so but… we’re approaching the end of this year’s epic Megasackings. With only three more days to go, what does today have up for grabs?

Wednesday 20th December: SQlab 6OX ERGOWAVE active 2.1 ltd. Team saddle, 50X pedals & Grip 711 Tech & Trail 2.0 S grips

  • Value: £249.97 (we *think*, depends on the exchange rate!)
  • From: SQlab

As we all know, Asclepius in ancient Greek mythology was the healing god of medical arts. Yer typical image of Asclepius is a bearded man leaning on a snake-entwined staff. This snake eventually became a general symbol of medicine and to this day can be seen used in this context in many medical and pharmaceutical facilities.

Er. What has that got to do with SQlab? Well, first of all it explains the logo. More fundamentally though, SQlab and their medical specialists, place a strong emphasis on the need for ergonomics and health aspects in cycling. (And the name ‘SQlab’ is supposed to echo ‘Asclepius’, but we expect some of this is rather lost-in-translation!)

SQlab: “We have hence adapted our name to the god of medicine in modified form and symbolically use a snake-entwined saddle to complete the logo. This is how our so-called SQ-laboratory, in which research and development of the highest level, has taken place for years with great success.”

What can you win today then?

6OX ERGOWAVE active 2.1 ltd. Team saddle, €159.95

SQlabs’ bestseller with a new design. SQlabs: “The ERGOWAVE shape and the active system improve the saddle in many details and make it unbeatable on the e-bike. Relief, comfort, technology and especially the important support to the rear on steep climbs, make the 6OX the perfect companion on the E-MTB, All-Mountain and Enduro Bike.”

5OX pedals, €79.95

SQlabs: “Available in three different axle lengths [ Q-factor ]. Adapted to the natural foot position. Large platform (115 x 105mm). Fibre reinforced plastic. Japanese ball bearings. IGUS friction bushing Made in Germany. Replaceable pins.”

Grip 711 Tech & Trail 2.0 S grips, €34.95

SQlabs: “Ergonomic grip for long distances! Perfect fit, cushioning and comfort for the mountainbike. The clamp is on the inside and the grip is pulled slightly upwards on the outside to provide maximum cushioning. A wave-shaped profile on the front and right side, which produces a flat, slightly angular grip bottom. A perfect fit for angular, bent fingers.”

*you’ll be able to choose your preferred width of saddle

I’ve deffo done it wrong this year as i’ve only entered 2.. Again, i don’t need any of the bits, so feel it’s not right to enter today as i’ve decided not to. Obviously this has completely screwed any chance of me winning the megasack. 😀

On the flip side, it is a great opportunity to humble brag that you haven’t entered…makes better odds for those who are entering…thanks.
