Peaty’s new grease and assembly pastes are here to keep your bike running like new for longer

Peaty’s, not content with lubing your chain and cleaning your frame, have now released a range of greases and pastes to keep your bike in top condition.

The 3 new products are Peaty’s Bicycle Assembly Grease, Peaty’s High Speed Grease and Peaty’s Max Grip Carbon Gripper Paste, and as you would expect from the company each has been formulated to give it better, longer and safer performance.

The best way to keep your bike running like new and as quiet as possible is to build it correctly in the first place. Now, I’m sure we all use a torque wrench and we all know how to set up the latest 52t SRAM Eagle, but do you guys use a dedicated assembly grease? No, I thought not.

Peaty’s Bicycle Assembly Grease uses Ester oils rather than Synthetic oils the reason being that Ester oils are apparently attracted to metals and stay put for longer. Being an electrochemical the oils help the grease to flow more naturally and evenly too. What’s more Peaty’s has managed to make the grease readily biodegradable too.

Peaty’s Bicycle Assembly Grease Features

  • Keeps your bike running quieter & smoother for longer
  • Long-lasting lubrication under extreme loads
  • Anti-corrosion protection
  • High resistance to water washout
  • Readily Biodegradable – meets Ultimate Biodegradability – OECD 301 B
  • 100% Post Consumer Recycled (PCR) tubes
  • M15 threaded cap
  • RRP £9.99

Next in line is Peaty’s High Speed Grease. Created to run 2.5 times faster than the assembly grease, this formula is for any high-speed product such as the bearing in a hub or bottom bracket. It has been designed to resist being washed out, has corrosion-resisting properties and is also readily biodegradable.

Peaty’s High Speed Grease Features

  • For use in race wheel bearings, bottom brackets & other
  • Fast-moving parts.
  • Long-lasting lubrication under extreme loads
  • Anti-corrosion protection
  • High resistance to water washout
  • Readily Biodegradable – meets Ultimate Biodegradability – OECD 301 B
  • 100% Post Consumer Recycled (PCR) tubes
  • M15 threaded cap
  • RRP £9.99

And finally, we have Peaty’s Max Grip Carbon Gripper Paste, a product designed to increase the friction between carbon components and prevent them from slipping even with low-torque values. You’ve probably received a small sachet of something similar with your bike, but Peaty’s formula is non-toxic, resists being washed away and is also biodegradable.

Peaty’s Max Grip Carbon Gripper Paste Features

  • For use on carbon fibre handlebars, stems & seat posts
  • Eliminates slip on clamped parts & prevents seizing
  • Made of renewable, natural oils and pumice particles
  • Readily biodegradable
  • 100% Post Consumer Recycled (PCR) tubes
  • M15 threaded cap
  • RRP £9.99

The final cherry on top is that Peaty’s uses 100% post consumer recycled plastic. The recycling process is performed according to EU REACH standards using waste LDPE plastic from used plastic shopping bags and food films.

Peaty’s products are available online through the Peaty’s website and are distributed by Silverfish.

    Liking the recycled plastic tubes.
Not sure I need ‘high speed’ grease in my BB or hubs at my speeds.
That carbon assembly paste could be useful though.
Did I miss how much you get for £9.99?

nice to see Biodegradeable and PCR packaging – but am I missing something about why the m15 threaded cap is a selling point? Is that the normal size for a grease gun or something?

Think M15 is the thread used on weldtite TF2/Shimano and finish line grease nozzles.

I hope they’ve done their homework on galvanic corrosion…

Is it just me or does ‘highly water resistant assembly grease’ and ‘readily biodegradable’ seem at odds with each other?
