Downhill Highlights – Leogang World Cup 2021

The first round of the DH world cup in Leogang did not disappoint. Some riders opted for a cautious approach to the ever-changing conditions and some went full send. We saw spills and some unlucky moments for a few riders and some retribution at last. Here are the downhill highlights from the finals.

An old track with a new twist. Leogang brought the goods at round one of the UCI Downhill MTB World Cup this weekend! A new track that could be discussed for weeks was quickly tamed by some of the world’s best as riders carved their way down the Austrian landscape. With crashes to follow and some incredibly fast laps, it was top-to-bottom drama throughout the day before Swiss rider Camille Balanche cemented her place in Leogang history and Australian rocket Troy Brosnan ended his winning drought with an exceptional run. Eliot Jackson was there to get the low-down in Leogang

“I’ve got you some lovely bike socks”. If you ride bikes, this is the kind of phrase you’ll hear from some well-meaning relative or colleague. Your heart will sink, as you know that you’re about to receive some socks with bikes on. Quite possibly badly drawn bikes, stitched into a…

Blazing Bikes

The Blazing Bikes Story In 2009 we had an idea to use our land to develop a unique destination site to the UK. Based at the southern end of the south Shropshire Hills we opened a bike shop with a mountain bike and outdoor centre with camping and camping pods for people to…

Not too good about writing about myself, but not so bad at writing about other things. There was a time that I hated bikes, but then they became my life. Wouldn't be the person I am if I hadn't been on this journey. Here's to bikes, drinking tea and everything that comes with life on two wheels. I'm Lauren, I like bikes and writing about them. Always trying my best and up for adventures.
