VeeTire SNAP Trail released

Thai tyre makers, Vee Tire Co. releases the new Vee Tire SNAP Trail based on the popular Flow SNAP WCE.

Vee Tire Co. is very much an up and coming tyre maker. The Thai based manufacturer is headed up by Bike Sukanjanapong who has been working on promoting his brand through sponsorship of World Cup Downhill racers, Pump Track Champions, BMX riders and Olympic Athletes.

The company really hit our radar a few years back with the release of the Vee Tire Flow SNAP WCE, a tyre designed with help from Phil Atwill and the rest of the Propain Factory Team. The Flow SNAP WCE still sits at the top of the Vee tree, but the newly announced SNAP Trail sits next to it as a trail-ready alternative to the downhill-specific WCE.

Vee uses a very similar tread design on the new SNAP Trail to the WCE, but a few tweaks here and there give it better rolling resistance, yet with an aggressive sidewall and Vee’s sticky Top 40 rubber compound, the SNAP still has plenty of bite.

To celebrate the release of the SNAP Trail, Vee created the following video featuring Elliott Lapotre and David Cachon with some riding that just goes to show that one person’s ‘Trail’ riding is another ‘Freeride’.

Vee Tire will offer the SNAP Trail in either Gravity Core or Enduro Core in either 29 x 2.35 or 27.5 x 2.35in sizes. All versions of the tyre use the same 42a durometer, Top 40 rubber compound and pricing is $65 or €60 a tyre.
