We’ll have to admit that we didn’t know a whole lot about mountain biking in Arkansas up until this point. As it turns out though, there’s some world class riding to be had in the northwest of the state. Home to over 200 miles of dedicated singletrack, Northwest Arkansas has been steadily developing a reputation for its epic back country riding.
From all reports, there’s a huge diversity of trails on offer, ranging from black diamond park-style riding through to cruisier XC and trail loops. And that’s part of the reason why Northwest Arkansas was designated as the first-ever Regional Ride Center by IMBA. Speaking of, and as further proof of the region’s trail riding status, Northwest Arkansas will be hosting the IMBA World Summit in November this year, where trail builders, land managers and stakeholders alike will gather to discuss all things mountain biking.
