The Welsh Gravity Enduro series is returning for next year, but in a slightly different way.

The 2016 series will be a “Mash Up!,” sounds exciting, doesn’t it?

Essentially, the event will follow the same principles from previous years with the first race returning to Afan Forest in Glyncorrwyg.

So what exactly is the “Mash Up!”?

Participants will be racing against each other on the clock over the course of a day with three stages in each round, but what makes it different to the past events is the amount of times the riders can ride each stage… which is, you guessed it: unlimited times (but you’ll probably be fairly knackered after the second go!).

The best time from each stage will count towards the overall result and you can even have your times texted to you live.

The stages will run for five hours from 10am till 3pm on the day and the person with the best culmative stage time will win overall but there are also prizes for the fastest time on each stage kindly provided by Mudhugger.

The first event will take place on Sunday the 21st of February with the full series running through up until October of the same year.

Entries open on the 2nd of January at 9am for those of you interested.
