New GoatLink from Lindarets and Wolftooth Components

by 2

In the endless push for MOAR GEARS and higher ratios, Lindarets and Wolftooth components today announced a new GoatLink designed to work with 1×11 drivetrains. As well as the recent bevy of 44 and 45t cassette expanders, it will allow you to run a whopping 11-46 range cassette should such a thing become available. More details and technical information than you could shake an SGS cage at over on Lindarets‘ and Wolftooth Components‘ sites.

The new GoatLink is compatible with Shimano’s newest M8000 XT and M9000 XTR derailleurs.

As well as tweaking it for new drivetrains, the GoatLink has apparently switched to a stainless steel bolt to sit against the tab for B tension.

As you’ll see from the comment below, 18Bikes is the UK importer for Lindarets (as well as being voted Bike Shop of the Year in our recent Singletrack Reader Awards)

David started mountain biking in the 90’s, by which he means “Ineptly jumping a Saracen Kili Racer off anything available in a nearby industrial estate”. After growing up and living in some extremely flat places, David moved to Yorkshire specifically for the mountain biking. This felt like a horrible mistake at first, because the hills are so steep, but you get used to them pretty quickly. Previously, David trifled with road and BMX, but mountain bikes always won. He’s most at peace battering down a rough trail, quietly fixing everything that does to a bike, or trying to figure out if that one click of compression damping has made things marginally better or worse. The inept jumping continues to this day.

We’re (18 Bikes) the UK contact/retailer for Lindarets. We’re placing a topup order and will be getting a few of these over too. Get in touch if you’d like one, hopefully here in a couple of weeks or so.

Thanks Simon, we’ve put a little update in the story for you.
