Minneapolis, Minnesota based Wolf Tooth Components was making narrow-wide rings and extended range cassette cogs earlier than most, and continues with the products in that realm with a number of new pieces of kit to show off.

The Goatlink is a replacement Shimano derailleur mount knuckle meant to increase chain wrap and decrease the amount of b-tension needed when using an extended range cog, helping to maintain shifting precision and increase cog durability. The $20 USD piece is an easy swap, you may not even have to change your current b-tension, limits or cable tension.

In terms of the latest in chainrings, Wolf Tooth was showing off their $100 USD SRAM direct mount 24 tooth stainless steel drop stop ring, along with their $64 USD, 64 mm BCD 26 and 28 tooth aluminum drop stop rings for the lowest gear ratios they’ve ever offered.

Wolf Tooth also had some early 3D printed prototype parts in hand, namely an ovalized chainring and offset replacement derailleur cage. The chainring has about 10% ovality to it, and is placed in an orientation where most people settle with other brands “clocked” ovalized chainrings. Planned for 32 and 34 tooth versions in a 104 mm BCD, along with SRAM direct mount.

The replacement rear derailleur cage has more fine tuning to do but is meant to further address shifting concerns with extended range cassette modifications by changing the placement of the upper pulley to increase wrap and clearance, and minimize the potential of a maladjusted derailleur getting sucked into the spokes.
