This week we’re getting high in India. Over to Mike McLean at MTB Kerala, with details of their growing brand of Himalayan exploits that have us looking wistfully at the calendar and wishing the flights were already booked…
What have you guys been up to since we last checked in with you?
Its been a massive year for us here at Mountain Bike Kerala discovering even more trails all over the Himalaya and at our home camp back in the deep tropical south of Kerala. All in the pursuit of creating the riding trip of a lifetime for our customers.
We are out on the trails now as your read this, on our way to the biggest mountains on earth and Pindari Glacier. Epic riding in jaw dropping scenery. We have another tour going in September 2014 and we are looking at getting onto the great trails to Milam Glacier by 2015 which promises to be just about the best high altitude riding there is.
What are your plans for the rest of the year?
This, October we are in Nepal and India on the Singalila ridge which always delivers great singletrack and knock-out views of Everest and Kanchenjunga. November and we are back in Kerala with some great new twists to our favourite winter riding spot.

We have also been super busy designing a range of MTB clothing under the Greenfrogindia label so we have MTB ride shirts, t-shirts and head wear out now in online shop. With ride shorts, DH tops and hoodies all in the factory being lovingly made by our army of green frogs which will be out in June. It’s all top, super durable ride gear at very competitive prices so expect to see them on the trails near you soon.
What about events? Home and abroad
We have supported and ridden in the MTB Himalaya event this year and have signed up for a few of the Scottish Enduro series this summer to keep us busy over the summer and in shape for the season back in India, this coming September.
