This Saturday: Your chance to catch a greased Pyga
This Saturday, 16 November, Wales’ only Pyga dealer is holding a demo day at the Forest of Dean. Drover Cycles will be unleashing their entire demo fleet on the riding public, including the South African brand’s OneTen29 29er (reviewed in Issue 84) and its 650b sibling, the OneTwenty650.
Designed and built for aggressive trail riding, both Pygas (Pyga?) “should find an ideal testing ground in the Dean’s classic, blue-graded Verderer’s Trail, or the newly re-vamped Freeminer red.” The OneTen29 features 110mm at the rear and is designed for a 120-130mm fork for marathon racing or plain old mountain biking. Targeted at shorter riders or those who prefer more technical trails, the OneTwenty650 is much the same- only with 27.5 wheels and the ability to accept a 130-140mm fork. Both framesets retail for £1,750 and complete builds start at £3,000.
