It’s not a proper press trip til you’ve been to A&E…

One of the perks of working at Singletrack is that everyone gets the opportunity to take in a press launch every now and then. We thought we’d break Jorji in gently by sending her off to the Swiss Alps in the tender care of Scott Bikes for a couple of days – unfortunately, she had other ideas and threw herself in at the deep end…

Scott Press Launch 2014: The Initiation Test.

As I was packing up to slope out of the office early last Friday (for a terribly rad hair appointment, of all things), Dave popped his head over the partition and asked what I was up to on Monday. “Ah y’know – design an’ that… the usual.”

“Fancy Switzerland instead?'” he asked. Switzerland? Let’s say the answer was positive and not entirely publishable!

  1. Surely it isn’t a proper press launch if no one has some sort of spectacular off into the scenery! 😉 Any word on possible UK pricing btw?

  2. Nice write up. Last time I was in Switzerland, I ended up with 5 stitches in my shin, so can vouch for their uber-efficient medical system.

  3. So where is the pic of the fall or the damage?

  4. Wow – what blood thirsties!! No crash pics this time – but I’ll be sure to capture future spills. Pricing wise, the top of the range 700 I was riding (crashing!) will be around 6,500 Euros when it comes out in the autumn. Am just waiting on pricing for the 710 and 720 models..

  5. Good start Jorj, keep up the good work 🙂

    (this is Jason BTW)

  6. “The 700 model is full carbon (weighing in at just 12.4kg),.”.so how many trips will one have to make to save the weight penalty with Easyjet?
(Just so I can explain to the better half financial manager.. 😉
