Inductees have been voted by the public on the MTB Hall of Fame Facebook page from a list created by members of the bike industry, the founder supporters of the UK MTB Hall of Fame.

Patrick Adams & Jill Greenfield of Pacific Edge Events who came up with the whole idea explained: “These guys are all at the top of the tree in the UK mountain biking world. They are legends, not only here, but in some cases around the world. We felt it was time they were recognised for everything they have done that has shaped UK mountain biking into what it is today. They have built a sport on which an entire industry has grown. We are proud of each and every one of them”.

Here is the list of those special 10 that have been inducted into the Hall of Fame at a special ceremony held at the Wiggle Mountain Mayhem event at Gatcombe Park, Gloucestershire.

Michael Bonney

When we published issue 1 of Singletrack we looked for an industry stalwart to set the standard for our first interview. We chose Michael. That was 12 years ago. Since then Michael has continued to be the powerhouse behind the marketing of the UK’s best known and respected MTB manufacturer. Despite his modesty and affectionately awarded title of grumpiest man in the bike industry, he is one of the most respected and admired members of our world. In fact he’ll undoubtedly roll his eyes and sigh when he finds out we nominated him.
