by 0

Only a few days now before the Stan’s NoTubes Oktoberfest powered by Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport and the VDO RunRider will get going in Ashton Court/ Bristol (13-14th October 2012 – www.bikefest.com).

Entries

The entries to the Stan’s NoTubes Oktoberfest powered by Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport have gone crazy again and the pre-entry is now closed.

We will have day entries available at the event but there will be either a £5 surcharge for entering at the event or you will not receive an Oktoberfest gift.

Entries to the VDO RunRider Off Road Duathlon (14th October) are still open via the online entry page (www.runrider.co.uk) but will close on Friday lunch time (12th October at 12pm). There will be entries on the day available but there will be a surcharge for that.

Weather

We hope that weather will be on our side but if it goes against us then we have a back-up plan at hand which will require certain adjustments to the event venue and start and finish but will allow us to go ahead with the event. The course will not be affected as that is as weather proof as it can be.

Camping

If you are camping at the Rudgy Club please be aware that you have to be gone by 10.30am on Sunday morning due to activities on the pitch.

Also if you are coming in a larger van, motor home or caravan please go to the Rugby club as it will easy damage on the field.  Please click here for directions.

The camping spots are not marked so just find your own spot when you get there but we ask everybody to be sensible with the space and leave the access routes free.

Steve Peat and friends

We hope that you had the chance to get involved in the Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport facebook activities and that maybe you managed to get yourself a spot on Steve Peats or Martyn Ashton team. In any case we will have Steve, Martyn and Blake Samson with us over the weekend and they will be getting involved in the race action.

Racing Stuff

This year riders will race once again for the ‘honour’, Oktoberfest pretzel, beer vouchers and new for 2013 Oktoberfest trophies. So if you enjoy German baking goods and German beer you better get on the podium!

Besides that we have out the briefing for the Oktoberfest up here. Make sure you have a read before you make your way to the event.
