On the 5th and 6th of September 2008, Borderline events, in conjunction with Dales Cycles will be hosting “KILL THE BILL” a British Cycling category E Downhill mountain bike race.

Held on the Fort William World Cup course (Fort Bill), the test for the riders will be world class, offering challenges at every stage of the 2.8km course.

With a starting altitude of over 650 metres and a vertical drop average of 555 metres this offers a great chance for you to come and see Downhill racing at its very best, on the course that has been consistently voted “best on the world cup circuit” by the very athletes that travel the world racing at the highest level.

More details will be published as time goes on and more sponsors are to be confirmed. The full list of prizes will be announced closer to the event.

I have been a writer for nigh on 20 years, a photographer for 25 years and a mountain biker for 30 years. I have written countless magazine and website features and route guides for the UK mountain bike press, most notably for the esteemed and highly regarded Singletrackworld. Although I am a Lancastrian, I freely admit that West Yorkshire is my favourite place to ride. Rarely a week goes by without me riding and exploring the South Pennines.
