if you want to test the theory try riding past a nest with 4 swan eggs in it

building your nest 2 feet from one of the busiest canal towpaths in the holiday season isn’t really wise

Swans can’t break yor arm, that’s just a mix of urban myth and avian hyperbole.

They can however give you a rather painful chinese burn.

Swans, they’re just like traffic wardens. They can both shove their bills up their arses.

They can’t break a man’s arm, but they can steal his apostrophes.

A male swan may be able to break a man’s arm with a flap of his wings, but a female swan can break a male swan’s heart with just one look.

Driving through Worcester yesterday evening about 7pm, a Swan had decided to have a rest on the pavement, by the side of the dual carriageway, in the centre of town!

I’ve NEVER seen a Swan more than 5 yards from the river bank in Worcester, but here was a Swan probably 400 metres away from the River (though only 100 yards from the Canal), on the side of a very busy road, and it would not budge! Passers by had to cross the road to avoid it…

Anyway, the Fire Brigade got called to move it, and 20 minutes later they’d shoo’d it on I think.
