Its all gone in Hexham. thought about going out last night, but 'twas proper grim.

what bike is that? the angles seem to be the complete opposite of what i'd look for!!

It's a sample Scandal frame. Standard head angle but bent seat tube (like the Ti29er that came after it). I know what you meant though - looks like crazy slack seat tube on that pic!

How was the ground under the snow? Frozen solid, or sloppy and wet after the rain that came first?

I was surprised how frozen it was. The snow had obviously been wet and frozen on top, the drifts were properly fluffy. The ground underneath was hard, either frozen or, more likely, not yet wet. It's been so dry - I did the Allendale Challenge on Saturday and it was the driest I've seen it.
