The original SID XC air shock has died.
What is the latest and greatest thing to replace it with?
What is okay and affordable to replace it with?
Cheers

Can't recommend the fox RP23 series enough, but affordable wise maybe a Std Fox Float R but I'd still recommend getting it from TF Tuned with a PUSH tuning. Otherwise check out Merlin/CRC to see if they have any bargains fox shocks left in your size/stroke
The bloke in Hargroeves reckons that the fitting are funny on the Strike so needed to contact Scott directly on Tuesday before he could help me.
Anyone here know any better?
I used to have a Scott G-zero FX25, frame wise, looks very similar to the Strike. It took a normal 165mmx38mm shock and I used a DT Swiss SSD225 on it. It performed great, but after using shocks with Motion Control (well any sort of pro pedal/MC thing) I think that the frame would benefit from this as would be much more efficient. I really liked how my MC3.3 performed on my Fuel Ex and heard that Monarch is a pretty good shock. All reasonably priced and way cheaper than a RP23.
