  • Which (internet?) radio station for NYE?

Having a small gathering of friends at home for tonight’s festivities.

I want to avoid the faff of selecting music on itunes, and I’m not sure that I have sufficient of the right tunes to keep us going for the whole night. (I have err….eclectic tastes! Wife says “crap”)

I was thinking about one of the internet radio stations, playing a mix of upbeat music.

Any suggestions for a suitable station?

Normally stick Radio 1 or 2 on just before midnight to get the countdown, but can’t bear R1 for a whole night. I am officially old BTW.

Download spotify, pay five whole pounds have one massive selection of tracks, then play spotify wars. Basically a game of one upmamship. Choose a category ie a to z or 90’s or whatever and go! Forefeits for those who do not have the next tune cued up ready. Happens a lot, later on in the night!!

I’d just stick 6Music on. Or else have iTunes on shuffle. There’s about 100Gb on my Mini, so that ought to see things through to the small hours.
    That’s if I had people round, which I don’t.
