    Before I pull the trigger on a new workbench – what’s hot at the moment?
    (replacing my current narrow wooden workbench. Can’t go any bigger than this.)

    I’ve got the machine mart version which appears just to be, more expensive and red.. I’t’s been a great bench though. Easy to put up, sturdy and enough space. Go for it…

    Amateurs – the only proper way to secure a vise is with a g-clamp or maybe two 🙂

    If it does what you want then I doubt you could make something that does the same things as the one you’ve linked to for less cash – things like peg board can be tricky to get hold of too.

    An old fire door can make a good basis for a diy bench
