Yearly dilemma coming up - my suggestion of "no presents this year" didn't go down well so I'm resigned to dragging round the shops / internet looking for an appropriate gift for the missus. I tend to hit the wrong note most times - so anyone here ever hit upon the perfect present?

New vacuum cleaner?

The list I've been given includes...
A flying pony
An ice rink
A polar bear
A flappy footed duck.Posted 6 months ago # -
If you are going to hit the wrong note anyway, get this:

A new vacuum cleaner is the obvious, but if you tell us the lady's interests and sort of money you want to spend, then we can give a better suggestion......even though a vacuum cleaner is a really good gift.

It might be worth just asking your wife what she would like for Xmas , and then buying it, if the request is reasonable. The most fail-safe way to keep her happy is to just get a nice card, a small box of chox and put a reasonable amount of money in a card. Then she can buy exactly what she wants. Or look at her dressing table or bathroom cabinet and look at what creams she uses or perfume she wears and get her some more of that. Boots, John Lewis and Debenhams usually are the places to go for all that sort of stuff. (I'm a woman and my preferred option would be money and then I could choose what I wanted)

Well I did build a decent bike for her, but that's the problem - I get her things that I'd like.
I could go for jewelry - which seems to work, but maybe something a bit more original. Flying Pony sounds good so far.Posted 6 months ago # -
Buy her an iPad or a Kindle. Then if she doesn't like it will find a good home.

Mr S has come up trumps this year. Was doing a bit of tidying and found a pair of these [url=http://www.minx-girl.com/products/gore-contest-thermo-lady-tight/961///]. Just thought I'd better try them out for size - briliant! Can't wait until Christmas

so I'm resigned to dragging round the shops
She'd probably like some enthusiasm from the man she married, I'd expect

I'd quite like my forks servicing, with bling kashima coating as I've got a nasty bit of scoring down one of the stanchions.
And a pygmy goat.

she said she didn't want anything last year - no presents she said, lets just get stuff for the children and family.
Had Christmas at the inlaws where she gave me a present. Only small but I of course had nothing. That was a fun christmas
Already ordered some stupidly expensive Ugg boots for this year

Easy
Tiffany's
She go weak at the knees when she see that little blue box
And it doesn’t have to cost you a small fortune, they do have some reasonably price shinny things.

no presents she said
every year many dumbass men fall for this one.
I think it would be good government spending to pay for a Public Service Broadcast during November for education purposes.Posted 6 months ago # -
