Bonty Mud-X is the way to go (2.0 here) – they’re virtually a year round tyre for the Brighton area…

no, you can continue to use inappropriate rubber if you’d rather 🙂

Nothnig will stop the mud from clogging on the downs. I use 1.8 bonty MudX on rear and 2.0 on front and they cope to some degree.
