Mate recently got back into biking and got himself a Genesis Core.

Issue is that he cannot fit it into his motor – Audi A5. Poor him!

Anyone got same motor and managed to find decent strap on carrier for the bike? He will only ever carry one bike, so thought about the Saris Solo, but the blurb not confidence inspiring….

My advice to get rid of the Calibra (sorry…A5…)and get a cheap van fell on deaf ears…

What does the STW massive recommend.

Me, I have towbar mounted Aiston, but not an option for him…and I'm not driving 30 miles to his place to pick him up either….

where are you based – I have a Halfords one that fits with metal straps not cloth ones and is the best car mount one I've tried. I'm in Hove and don't use it anymore so woudl be happy to sell.

I have just got a Saris bones, the 2 bike version, to go on the back of a New Beetle convertible since nothing else would fit the stupid shape.

It has been rock-solid so far, and I am very impressed with the rack. It is miles better than any other rack I have user before. It seems quite a lot sturdier than the solo and I can not imagine it is a problem only ever putting one bike on it

There's a rack test in the upcoming issue of singletrack!
